The Island Life - Belize

Worth the Wait - St. George's Caye Resort

StGeorgesCaye_2018_DSC1298

As a developing country of only about 383,071 people, Belize has been very careful to plan their reopening process, systematically, skillfully and safely. At St. George's, we are doing the same. We were chosen as one of the exclusive hoteliers to be able to take international travelers, and we are working to become Gold Standard Certified.

Although the opening of the international airport is scheduled for Aug 15, we believe it may take more time for Belize to be ready for tourists. We pride ourselves in understanding our guest's experience from touchdown to take-off and with new processes and protocols, we want to understand how this all will impact our guest's experience. The owner of St. George's Caye Resort personally plans to travel to Belize as soon as US-based owners are given clearance to travel to the country, which they expect to be August 15.

So while we prepare for your arrival, we wanted to send you a sweet recipe to bring the taste of the island to you! Also, click here for incredible fare to pair your tropical beverage with!

We "cheers" to your next visit and wish you well in the meantime!

Dirty Banana

1/4 to 1/2 cup ice cubes

1 1/2 ounces (1 standard shot) white rum

3/4 ounce (1/2 shot) Kahlua (or other coffee-flavored liqueur)

3/4 ounce (1/2 shot) banana-flavored liqueur

1 ounce (2 tablespoons) light cream

1 ounce (2 tablespoons) whole milk

1 ripe banana

Garnish: unpeeled banana slice

Directions

Gather the ingredients.

Put 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of ice in the blender container. Add the remaining ingredients except for the garnish, cover, and blend until smooth, increasing the speed as necessary to thoroughly pulverize the ice. Pour the drink into a small hurricane glass, martini glass, or other cocktail glass. Cut a slit halfway through a banana wheel and hang it on the rim of the glass.

Serve and enjoy!

Upon your next visit to St. George's Caye Resort, stop by the Sand Bar Lounge inside the main lodge for an afternoon snack and check out our selection of wines, beer, cocktails, sodas, and juices. You can relax in a cushioned chair or ocean-facing swing and enjoy books, games, good conversation, ocean views, and complimentary wi-fi.

St. George's Caye Resort is perfectly placed just 7-miles from main-land Belize City. Transfers are complimentary saving over $150 per guest. Once you have landed at BZE International Airport, your valet will have you on the island with a short land and sea transfer including a beautiful boat ride over the Caribbean Sea. Offering an array of adventure, romance, relaxation, and SCUBA excursions, this resort is acclaimed for pristine reefs, seclusion, and the ability to do as much or as little as one wishes.

Spend the morning on a guided snorkeling and/or diving adventure at two popular sites, Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley. (For guests who do not want to snorkel or dive, you have the full day to explore Ambergris Caye.) Then we venture back to San Pedro for lunch at the restaurant of your choice (we can provide recommendations) and an afternoon of shopping and visiting galleries, gift shops, and beach bars/restaurants, before returning to St. George's with plenty of time to unwind and freshen up before dinner.

Daydreams for Departure - Plan Ahead

flying

We can all likely agree on one thing, with most people often wishing for more time, this is maybe more of an answer to those wishes than we bargained for. During this time of sheltering in place, the weekend to-do list may be a little shorter for you than it was a month ago. Well, now that you have a little more downtime, a great daydream exercise, especially for travelers, is to prepare for re-entry into the world.

Here are the Top 5 Tips on planning for your next getaway. Feast your eyes on images of the world and let the endorphins rush as you plan for your in-person appearance at your next destination:

  • Order a travel book – www.amazon.com has an incredible assortment of travel aid books both Fodor's and Lonely Planet publish fabulous books about travel to destinations all over the world. What a way to not only expand your mind and wealth of knowledge culture, but this exercise can expand your travel plans to places you didn't even think about prior to checking it out.
  • Actually take the time to read it – It is easy to be "busy" while we are all adjusting to a new norm. Homeschooling, working from home and many other adjustments have us in a bit of a tailspin. It is so important to take time to step away from reality a bit and immerse yourself into something that rejuvenates your spirit. Whether it be yoga, a good fiction novel, or a travel book. Make the time!
  • Search destinations online - Destination websites not only have incredible footage of their property, they also have valuable information that will allow you to make comparisons while you have a little down time. That way, when airfares are still low, and you know you are free to roam again, you can book with confidence knowing you did your homework.
  • Talk about your plans - Now is the time to be brainstorming with your travel buddy or evaluating your choices in your mind. Talk about the types of adventures you wish to enjoy, how much rest and relaxation you need during your time and what bucket list agenda you wish to check off.
  • Check Airfare and Travel News Often – Once we are free to travel the globe again, your best time to book will be just as the opportunity is opened again and when airfares are competitive. Be prepared so that when the time is right, you can strike out for your next journey around this incredible planet!

We hope that this simple list allows you to take some much-needed mental escape and globe-trot a bit in your mind. Until we meet again, sending you island vibes and well wishes!

Stay Local - Dream Global - Belize

Belize-2018-0214_20200403-150043_1
Thank you to our new retreat partner - Marni Henderson, founder of Coalesce Discovery and Horizons Retreats for this awesome perspective on how to "getaway" without leaving the safety of home during this time.
________________

Picture this, "It is sometime in the late afternoon, maybe 3:00 or 4:00. You haven't worn your watch or scrolled through your phone for days. The turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean sweetly soothe the soul while relaxing in a hammock. You can hear the waves gently brush the sand as a calm breeze rustles the palm fronds. The humidity naturally melts stress lines from your face with a warm welcoming smile. An easy dip in the ocean draws all tension from your shoulders and you are greeted with a freshly prepared rum punch as you step back onto land. "Go Slow" is the plan for today. An overwhelming sense of harmony and balance brings peace and relaxation throughout your mind, body and soul."

I can feel it. I can taste it and oh I can so imagine myself there right now... But I am not there, at least physically.

In a time when staying home is one of the most powerful choices we can make for the health and well being of our local communities and the world, finding ways to retreat within ourselves and at home has become a new reality. Especially for those of us that love to travel.

I was supposed to be in Belize last week. But like so many other people, travel plans quickly changed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. My plane was scheduled to leave stateside, the day before the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize was closed.

Although St. George's Caye would be a magical and totally relaxing island to self isolate, I would not be traveling to Belize this time...

My love for Belize had me counting the days for the slow paced culture, gracious people and healing beauty of this Central American country. Exploring other cultures offers a fresh perspective allowing me to bring home a different understanding of how I am living my life. It is often a "check up" on my priorities and daily habits. Specifically in Belize, I savor the break from digital devices, face paced lifestyle and unnecessary stress. Instead, days are filled with a "go slow" vibe, quiet contemplation, nourishing fresh food, playful curiosity and adventure. The most important reason I love to travel for retreat is that I often return home more relaxed, present and authentically available for myself and loved ones. Pure presence is the greatest gift we can share!

What had been a very intentionally planned vacation to relax and replenish now had me finding another way to fill a physician ordered prescription - "stress management vacation". For many, travel is a powerful stress management tool. The word retreat actually means to withdraw from our normal routine into a space that is safe for us to reflect and find refuge. Whether that be by meditation within ourselves, at home or global travel, retreat is actually a very profound act of self care. It positively affects the health and wellness of our whole being with a boosted immune system, increased brain function, emotional health and so much more!

Therefore, I am finding ways to create this experience in my home. Because honestly, that is what is happening right now for much of the world. For the greater good of humanity, we are being asked to keep ourselves and others healthy by staying home. Amongst all of the chaos, change and grief occurring worldwide, it is even more important to create a place of refuge within ourselves and immediate surroundings.

Relax and Replenish Home Retreat

  1. Preparation: Clearly define what type of experience or feeling you need. Is it to relax (less tense, relieve stress or anxiety) or to replenish (fill up or restore energy supply)?
  2. Setting: Find a special place in your home that will be designated just for your retreat. It may be outside, a certain chair or room. Make sure this is a place that when you go there, you really make it special for this purpose. It could even be a favorite blanket that you take with you to sit on or wrap yourself in. Clearly designate whatever and wherever it is. (I moved a reclining chair outside and now I wrap up in my favorite blanket and take a nap or read a book outside in the recliner…..it is so delicious!)
  3. Who: Is this for yourself, with others or are you planning for someone else?
  4. Sound: There are so many sounds we have access to that will support relaxation. It may be different types of music, a guided meditation, the sound of birds or silence.
  5. Smells: Certain smells definitely invoke a sensation of relaxation. Candles, essential oils, diffusers, incense, fresh air…...what is your pick? Ylang ylang, bergamot and lavender are all known to promote relaxation. If you imagine yourself on the beach, find some coconut or are you longing for the mountains, pine.
  6. Food: What a nourishing aspect of replenishment! What if you prepared a special meal? It could even be something as simple as a unique chocolate or a new dish, fruit or tea. Maybe you don't want to cook so you pre-prepare the meal or support your local restaurant with curbside pick up before your retreat. (I made a special meal of rice and beans for a "Belize Retreat" night, played Caribbean music, sprayed coconut in the room, made rum punch and put on "beach clothes").
  7. Have some fun: This is supposed to be a retreat which means we can step out of the box. Let your imagination soar. Give yourself some time to step away from the current reality and create an environment filled with deeply nourishing elements. Is there a special outfit you can wear? Can you call a friend and do it together? Does it mean you put a tent up in your backyard or living room? Maybe hang some indoor lights or take a bath? How can you step away from all of the chaos and stress to bring a precious moment of restorative balance?
  8. Time: Now that you have all the details figured out for your retreat and you've gathered everything you need, if anything at all, pick a time. Put it on your calendar or set an alarm and if you live with others, let them know. That means if you have littles, you've prepared them to be occupied while you go on retreat! This is your time! Honor yourself by making this a priority and putting all the preparation into action. Sometimes that is the hardest part. So put it on the calendar and if it helps, have someone else hold you accountable. Ask for help in making this happen.

Turn off the phone, step away from the to do list, slip away into your magical retreat space and return relaxed, refreshed and replenished. Congratulations, you restored harmony and balance!

There will be a day we can travel internationally again and return to St. George's Caye or your favorite destination. We will be living in the new normal. Until then, remember to take the time for yourself and create space for relaxation and replenishment. Being present with yourself and others is one of the greatest gifts we can share. When personal and global health requires taking care of your mind, body and spirit at home, know that you are making a difference for yourself and the many people on the front line. And then, when the loved ones in our lives working on the front line return home or can take a moment to relax, we will have the energy to make sure they too find the relaxation, replenishment and re-connection they so very much deserve.

Paddleboarding the Blue Waters of Belize

paddleboard-belize-cover

When we were packing for our trip to St. George's Caye Resort a thought occurred to me: I should bring my paddleboard. It is an inflatable SUP so it wouldn't be that difficult to pack my clothes around the gear and get on the plane. My very sensible wife convinced me that the resort had boards available and that I would be able to get on the water at anytime. She also reminded that we were headed to the private, quite reserve of St. George's Caye to relax! So off we went sans board. I was cautiously optimistic that boards would be at the ready.

As we flew over the continent and we reached the east coast, the bright blue Belizean waters revealed themselves. I have see the water in Mexico, I have seen the water in Hawaii and I have seen the water in Bali but I have never seen water this colour before. It is vibrant. A real treat for my travelling eyes. As I peered out that airplane window all I could think about was, "When do I get to paddle?!". One of our hosts explained to us that there is a shelf along most of the Caribbean coast line. It is wide and an average of about 5' to 12' deep. Sounds perfect!

We were escorted from the airport to a boat waiting for us at a nearby dock. Getting to St. George's Caye Resort is a short boat shuttle from Belize City. It is only 7 miles making the trip quick. Arriving at the island we were greeted with smiling faces, a colourful refreshment and...there they were, all tucked away in a seaside rack – the paddleboards! My smile was ear to ear and my wife gave me that 'I am happy for you' and 'see, I told you there was nothing to worry about' look!

That evening it was all I could do not to jump on a board and go explore but we were being treated to the weekly Saturday evening beach bonfire and dinner. Wow, what a way to start an island vacation. We got to know some of the staff, introduced ourselves to the other guests and got acquainted with our new home for the next week. John, my business partner and fellow paddle addict, and I discussed our game plan for the next morning. We had some exploring to do.

The next morning after fresh coffee and a hearty island breakfast, we were ready. We checked out the selection of boards, sized up paddles and off we went. St. George's Caye is a small island. I think has a circumference of about 2.5kms (about a mile). There is a windward side and a leeward side. We chose to start on the leeward side. It is more sheltered and adorned with mangroves. The water is very peaceful and never very deep.

One of the first things we discovered was a manatee habitat. Who knew?! Right off the docks of the resort live a family of sea cows. We were hopeful to see one but know that sea life can be elusive. Not for us it seems! We saw a little splash from our standing view point so we went to investigate. Paddleboards are the perfect vessel for experiencing sea life. They are quite and your view point is much higher that a kayak or boat. As we got closer to the manatee we notice there were two – an infant and an adult. How cool! They saw us, swam right under the board and then swam away to mind their own business. We carried on through the mangroves back to the resort to report on our sightings.

That evening we were given a show by the Belize sky. Our first vibrant sunset was about to happen. The first thought in our minds – let's go get boards! Our we went towards the every changing array of colours as the sun sank down below the horizon. The waters calmed right down and we enjoyed the peace and serenity that the glowing hour bestowed upon us. It was at this moment we were falling in love with this little slice of paradise.

After seeing our love for being on the water, other guests and staff encouraged us to take advantage of a sailboat ride out to the sandbar. Oliver rigged up the sails and took us on the short journey just off the end of the Caye. It was spectacular. We played and snorkelled in three to five feet of warm, clear water. Our senses over flowed. As we sailed back John and I both knew we were paddling back out the next day. Everyone thought we were crazy. That is was too far. Being from Canada and paddling in the North Pacific made us feel comfortable with the distance. We decided to approach the sandbar from the leeward side of the island. We thought we would avoid any wind or major currents that way. Once off the tip of the island we realized just how close we were and it had only been about 20 minutes of paddling. We were about to head straight out to the sandbar and meet the sailboat when all of the sudden John spotted something...

A single splash off the bows of our boards turned out to be a few splashes. One, two and then three dolphins popped up and started to get curious about us. I was elated. Seeing a dolphin in the wild was definitely a bucket list activity. My wife absolutely loves dolphins and although I knew she would be overjoyed that we saw some, she would want to come explore as well.

All of the sudden two more dolphins joined us. We paddled with this pod of five amazing and curious creatures for close to an hour. They would feed, play, swim and come by us once in a while to check us out. We paddle gently and took photos until our camera ran out of batteries! John and I saw some friends anchor the sailboat and we decided we would try to paddle corral the dolphins over to them. Like we thought we were some sort or paddle dolphin ranchers! Just when we though the dolphins were going along with our plan, they took a turn and went off in the other direction. But wow, what an incredible experience. Paddleboarding with dolphins.

The buzz about paddleboarding was growing around the guests at the resort. Many guests who had never tried it before saw what we were experiencing wanted in. It was really cool to see people new to the sport give it a try and get the same feelings we were getting. That brought us a lot of joy to share this lifestyle we enjoy so much with new friends.

That evening the sunset show was back on and the ladies joined us. The colours were slightly different but just as magical. We were out there until dark and loved being on the water with our loves. It is calm, connected and creates a different sort of bond when you do things like this together. We still reflect back on our time paddling together in the warm Belize sun. Watching for rays and dolphins and just talking about life. It is moment in our lives we will always look back on and cherish. What made it even better was sharing the time with two very special friends.

On about day four of our stay at St. George's Caye Resort we gained a reputation and the crazy Canadian paddleboarders. We took on the moniker with pride and lived up to the expectations. John and I were determined to discover more sea life, paddle around the island and go back to the sandbar again. In our travels we saw countless stingrays, manta rays, manatees, barracuda, tarpon, a nurse shark and even a crocodile! Now don't freak out, the croc was quite a ways from the resort and he took of like a shot as soon as he saw us (hence no picture...you'll just have to take my word for it!). I can tell you, experiencing St. George's Caye by paddleboard was incredible and life altering. I recommend it to anyone to try. You don't have to have any paddle experience whatsoever. You can even kneel on the board to get started. Just do it and go experience your island vacation from a different perspective. You'll never know what you'll discover unless you leave the shore!

"It's a Jungle" - Belize's Wildlife Beauty

macaws-together Macaws Belize Zoo

Most of the rain forest mammals of Belize are nocturnal and secluded in their nature. This makes them extremely difficult to find. St. George's Caye Resort offers a colorful excursion to the cultural sites of the country as well as the Belize Zoo. Just Relax... Island Style!

Complete and total relaxation at St. George's Caye Resort Belize Wake up to coffee and juice to your door each morning.

In a day and age of the most fast paced lifestyles in history, it is no wonder that one needs to totally disconnect in an effort to fully relax. With phones, computers, even watches that makes you instantly available to everyone, it is likely impossible to let it all go with out turning it all off.

We love that our little island offers the opportunity to be connected when you wish; we often see guests on FaceTime with their loved ones in the mornings or evenings. But, we also offer the opportunity to completely disconnect and achieve the ultimate in relaxation and reflection.

Relaxation is a state where you feel calm and able to manage day-to-day life. If you have a busy life. Relaxation has many mental and physical health benefits, and the techniques can be practiced almost anywhere.

What is relaxation?

Relaxation is a state where you feel calm and can manage your stress or anxiety.

How can relaxation improve your mental health?

Relaxation reduces stress and the symptoms of mental health conditions like depression, anxiety and others. Relaxation also has other related health benefits, including:

What are some relaxation techniques?

Relaxation techniques focus on muscle relaxation or breathing. An example is progressive muscle relaxation, where you tense then relax different muscle groups.

 Other techniques include:

  • visualization, where you create a mental image of a calming place for you
  • deep breathing, where you refocus your attention on your breathing
  • hypnosis
  • meditation
  • mindfulness
  • exercise

Ways to include relaxation in your life:

Find a relaxation technique that works for you and make it part of your daily routine, even if it's just for 5 or 10 minutes a day.

If you're interested in mindfulness, you may want to use mindfulness coloring books to help you focus on the present moment and take your mind off other things. This includes an aspect of art therapy, another relaxation technique.

Keeping a healthy work life balance helps with relaxation and managing stress.

As the speed of life continues to accelerate, it is so important to pause for these healthy practices. If you are finding it difficult to do this at home, we will be your excuse to come away from it all and immerse yourself in pampering and peace!

Fishing in Belize- Your UnBelizeable Fish Story!

fishing-caribbean-sea-belize

Belize has some of the best game fishing in the world. As part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef – the largest in the Western Hemisphere – the Belize Barrier Reef offers unmatched fishing opportunities. Some anglers tell us it is virtually impossible to go fishing in Belize and not catch something! No guarantees of course but those are pretty good odds.

An additional factor to consider when planning a successful trip, aside from the health of our local reefs and ecosystems, is to seek out local insider information about the best spots. Your guide will know the most populated areas and will work to take you to locations known to host the very fish that you seek, hopefully in huge abundance.

Read more about fishing with St. George's Caye Resort's Professional Valet Guides

Great weather, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of action are all part of the Belize fishing experience. Some of the favorite sport fish in Belize are snook, tarpon, jack, barracuda, bonefish, snapper, permit, plus many more!

The local Belize info resource site has up to date information on seasons, population updates and also suggestions on timing for the perfect trip. They write in their fishing info article, "May, June, July, August and early September are considered to be the best fishing months here primarily because there are good numbers of the "Big Three" of Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit available. Summer temperatures are in the low-to-mid-90s and a steady trade wind generally makes the weather very comfortable."

Read more about local game fishing in Belize

A fun addition to your experience is Lionfish dive hunting. This invasive species has no natural predators and therefore hunting them is necessary to manage their population. Despite their eccentric exterior, they also happen to be a delicious treat. When filleted correctly to eliminate their poison, they are described as "white, flaky, mild, tender, and delicious". When our guests catch their game fish, we are happy to prepare them. Many guests will indulge in their catch of the day with just their group, or better yet, share with the whole resort group.

Read more about Lion Fish.

At St. George's Caye Resort, we're fortunate to be located adjacent to the flats, close to the reef, and a short ride from the Belize River, so you can enjoy a variety of fishing during your caribbean vacation. Your fishing experience is sure to be memorable as we feature some of Belize's best and most experienced guides! Depending on your particular needs and schedule, packages are customized to fit you and/or your party.

The types of fishing trips we offer are:

  • River Fishing
  • Reef Fishing
  • Flat Fishing
  • Fly or Spin Fishing
  • Lion Fish Spear Hunting for divers

It's never too early to make arrangements in order to ensure that all your needs are met, and we would love to host you or your group for the ultimate fishing experience. Come away to a place where your fish will really be "This big!"

12 Things To Do in Belize When You're Not Diving

belize-sunset-lamanai-caribbean-sea-hammock-kayak
Belize is quickly becoming an popular tourist destination due to it's endless summer weather, friendly locals,  ease of travel from the United States, and the fantastic variety of land activities and watersports- especially the scuba diving and snorkeling!

Divers choose Belize because it's home to the second largest barrier reef and bucket-list dive sites such as Lighthouse Reef, Turneffe, Great Blue Hole, and Hol Chan Marine Reserve. The diving here is out of this world!

But even the most avid diver needs surface time. Belize is full of places to explore and see, but there are also plenty of places to relax when you need a little downtime. So, what else is there to do in Belize besides diving?  We've compiled a list for you!

1. Visit Lamanai Maya ruins. This site, situated along the New River Lagoon, features monumental architecture of temples and palaces dating from the Classic and Pre-Classic Periods.

2. Relax with a hot stone massage at our island spa. The deep penetrating heat of the stones will melt your tension away.

3. Whiz through the jungle canopy on a zip-line tour.  Zip past a stunning display of tropical flora and fauna. Daring participants will rappel to the rainforest floor from the final platform for a thrilling one-of-a-kind jungle adventure.

4. Take a guided fishing trip for the "big three" of tarpon, permit, and bonefish. If you prefer to reef fish, you are likely to catch snapper, grouper, barracuda, and more.

5. Kayak or Paddleboard through the mangroves and along the reef. You may even see dolphins, sting rays, and baracuda!

6. Enjoy an afternoon relaxing in a hammock. It's one of our favorite activites here at the island!

7. Go cave tubing. Float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to guide the way as the Caves Branch River winds a path through the Maya mountain and numerous caves.

8. Explore St. Herman's Cave and Blue Hole National Park. Hike nature trails with breathtaking views, see Maya artifacts such as pottery, beads, obsidian knives, and human skeletons. Complete your adventure with a dip in the sapphire waters of Blue Hole National Park.

9. Visit San Pedro. Enjoy a leisurly afternoon browsing galleries, gift shops, and popular bars and restaurants. Our San Pedro Slam excursion is perfect land an sea experience.

10. Buy gorgeous handmade arts and crafts from locals.

11. Drink tropical cocktails and Belikin beers on the beach.

12. Watch the sunrise and sunset. Belize is blessed with amazing watercolored painted skies in the early morning and at dusk. It is definitely a time of day not to be missed.

Make St. George's Caye Your Excuse - To Relax

Beautiful Sunsets at St. George's Caye Resort Beautiful Sunsets at St. George's Caye Resort

Have you ever noticed that after some vacations... you need another vacation just to decompress? We heard recently from a perspective guest who was shocked at our difference or the uniqe quality of St. George's Caye Resort. She said, "I travel all the time and I have not really found a place where our goal could be to do nothing. That sounds so refreshing. What a difference."

It is rare in this day and age to find time to sit still. Expecially without a device and social media keeping you constantly engaged, with seldom a silent moment.

The University of Michigan Medical School recomends some actions to take to reduce stress and fully relax. Bring these techniques with you and we will create the perfect enviromnet to try them out!

Take slow, deep breaths. Or try other breathing exercises for relaxation. Stress Management: Breathing Exercises for Relaxation

Do yoga. You can get books and videos to do at home or take a yoga class. Stress Management: Practicing Yoga to Relax

Practice mindful meditation. The goal of mindful meditation is to focus your attention on things that are happening right now in the present moment. For example, listen to your body. Is your breathing fast, slow, deep, or shallow? Do you hear noises, such as traffic, or do you hear only silence? The idea is just to note what is happening without trying to change it. Stress Management: Doing Meditation

Why you need an Unplugged Belize Vacation in the New Year

Belize-island-vacation-by-the-pool Belize Island Time

What exactly is an unplugged vacation? Imagine time minus television, computers, iPads and phones, time focused on people - where you literally unplug yourself from sensory overload! We challenge you to get away from the daily grind, to reconnect, to refresh.

Most of us are addicted to electronics and don't even realize it. Ask yourself, when is the last time I went to bed without watching the news? Or checking email or Facebook - one last time? So why not take an intentional break from the hum of daily life?

Here are 4 Reasons you need to consider it:

- Your brain needs to detox. There is a gland in your brain called the pineal gland. Its responsible for regulating melatonin, which helps you to relax and get to sleep. Your computer screen overstimulates the pineal gland. When it’s overstimulated the melatonin in your body is suppressed and your sleep and rest periods will be automatically more difficult. Give your brain a break.

- Memories are not made staring into screens! Memories are made laughing over meals or chasing hermit crabs on the shore. Memories are made exploring ancient Mayan Ruins or hiking through jungles. Memories are made in private cabanas and staring into one another's eyes. You will return home with unforgettable memories.

- Unplugged vacations encourage movement. Our bodies and our minds are happier when we move. When there is no television to watch you're more likely to take a leisurely walk go for a swim in the salty sea. You are more likely to be more active.

- Because at the end of the day - people matter most. Reconnect with your partner. Or your best friend. Or yourself! Cultivating healthy relationships is difficult when we are constantly distracted my text messages and emails. When is the last time you sat quietly and focused on yourself or your partner to the exclusion of everything else for days at a time? It will change your perspective and allow for more meaningful relationships.

Snorkel in Belize at our Beach Resort

St. George's Caye Resort in Belize is perfectly designed to help you disconnect with the noise of your busy life. And reconnect with yourself. We make it possible for you to check your email - just not inside your private Cabana. No televisions are to be found and most people won't get a cell phone signal. But no need to worry! We are not totally off the grid. Just enough to allow you to relax and experience the magic.

12 private thatched roof cabanas nestled on a secluded tropical island. No roads. No stores. Just peaceful nature surrounds you. A place you can truly unwind, let loose, and relax. You will find yourself lost in the abundance of fish when your snorkel the Belize Barrier Reef. It will remind you how big and beautiful the world is and how your forgot you loved to travel.

We invite you to experience the magic of an unplugged private island getaway at St. George's Caye Resort - The Gem of Belize. Getting here is easy - Leaving is hard!

Getting to St. George's Caye & Weather Q&A

sgcr_overheadview

This series of articles is meant to make you the expert on everything Belize. We will have three short blogs to give you the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. Feel free to message us with more questions at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you have more beautiful details you would like to know.

When booking an international flight, which airport do we choose?

Choose BZE (Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport, Belize City). You benefit by the unique location of St. George's Caye – 1) the shortest travel time to any island resort; 2) we greet you when you arrive and bring you to our marina and to the resort; 3) you pay nothing for your transfer (with minimum stay); and 4) easiest access back to the mainland for jungle adventures.

 Which airlines serve Belize?

American Airlines Dallas TX and Miami FL
Delta Airlines Atlanta GA and Los Angeles CA
Taca Airlines from U.S. via El Salvador
United Airlines Houston TX
US Airways Charlotte NC
Tropic Air offers a connector flight from Cancun to Belize City

Do I need a visa to travel to Belize?
U.S. and Canadian citizens can visit Belize with their passport; no visa required.

What is the charge for the airport transfers?
Airport transfers are included with any stay 4 nights or longer.

If I'm staying somewhere else in Belize before or after St. George's Caye, how do we handle transfers?

Just let us know your travel plans—our staff will pick you up and drop you off anywhere in Belize City. If you are flying to or from another destination within Belize, be sure you use the MUNICIPAL airport—this will save you money and time.

When I look at the weather report for Belize, it shows rain. Is it really going to rain on my vacation? When is the best time to visit?
First, don't believe the weather forecasts because they are for the mainland, not for our island. Second, understand that "rainy season" does not mean it rains most days – quite the opposite. See details on our Location & Weather page.

St. George's Caye Resort is located 7 miles by boat transfer from the Belize City marina.

We look forward to seeing you in the sun!

Top 4 Ways to Avoid Crowds During your Belize Vacation

Waking-Up-Ocean-Front-Cabana-St.-George's-Caye-Resort-Belize

In March of 2019, 100 million people responding to a AAA survey said they were traveling this year, the majority in fall and winter. If you're finding this year that there's a little too much togetherness — we mean with your fellow travelers, we have a couple of ideas for keeping the crowds at bay this fall and winter!

Travel during Belize's "low season"

There is really no "bad" time to travel to Belize. Each season comes with its own added perks. From prime time Grand Slam Fishing season,  to September Celebrations. Not to mention, Easter and other holidays like ringing in the New Year! No matter when you travel, we do have some key tips on how to avoid crowds during your trip.

Schedule in some down time

Belize offers many opportunities for adventure, but be sure to plan a couple days to simply relax. Building in some unstructured time will allow you to recharge and avoid feeling like you need a "vacation from your vacation". Here at the resort, hammock time is an approved and well-loved activity!

Choose a remote island destination ;)

We may be a little biased on this concept. While there are many places to stay on the mainland, choosing a resort that is tucked away from the crowded tourist destinations is the perfect choice! At St. George's Caye, we're conveniently located only 7 miles away from Belize City, making it easily accessible from the mainland yet worlds away! We host a maximum of 35-40 guests at a time, so you can rest easy knowing the island will never feel crowded.

Go off the beaten path

While Belize city is not really set up for tourists so we always want to be your guide, we know the best places for the perfect excursion for your ultimate rest and relaxation. Some excursions, such as San Pedro Slam or our Belize Cultural Adventure, will take you to areas of Belize that tend to be very popular. For a quieter and less social adventure, try snorkel, diving or for cultural fun, the Lamanai Maya Ruins or St. Herman's Cave. Or even better, just treat yourself to some rest and relaxation with the Tropical Island Spa and a little hammock time!

St. George's Caye Resort is located 7 miles by boat transfer from the Belize City marina.

We look forward to seeing you in the sun!

Top 4 Reasons To Plan Your Fall Travel To St. George's Caye

Sunny windward side dock Pick your paradise vantage point!

If you are like most, you are in awe with how fast this summer is going. Pretty soon, department stores will display back-to- school racks and coffee shops with be filled with the aroma of pumpkin spice lattes. While it doesn't seem like planning a fall vacation should even be within the wheel house at this time, it is a great time to get ahead with one last getaway of the year! Belize is a great destination for a shift of paradigm and although we are a bit biased, we wanted to highlight a few reasons to come away to visit us in the fall!

CELEBRATIONS - Belizeans really know how to celebrate, and they go all out during this time of year with parties and festivals taking place during most of September. St. George's Caye Day is Sept. 10th , and it marks the beginning of celebration through Sept. 21st, which is Belize Independence Day. Check out some of the other events happening around Belize in September:

St. George's Caye Day celebrates and commemorates a battle in 1798 when the Spanish were defeated by slaves, Baymen, and British soldiers. Official cultural ceremonies and parades take place all around Belize on this day.

Belize Expo Marketplace will be held September 14th and 15th, 2019. Now in it's 23rd year, the expo has become one of the biggest events of the year in Belize. It is a 2 day market showcasing the best products made in Belize. Thousands of people will head to the expo to sample Belizean cuisine and purchase locally-produced goods.

Independence Day is September 21st and is marked by the annual flag raising ceremony and the party continues throughout the day and into the evening with colorful parades, dancing, music, and many other fun activities.

WEATHER - September weather is "just right" averaging 81 degrees. You'll find plenty of sunshine, and early morning and late night showers. The jungles are in green season and are bursting with color and life!

LESS CROWDED -  Although St. George's really never has crowds, things are a bit more laid back in Belize before the tropical vacation season ramps up. There are so many great excursions and popular sites, such as the Maya Ruins and the ATM Cave, are less populated during this time of year. It's also a great time to connect with the locals, who always warmly welcome visitors from other countries.

THE KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL - After a summer packed full of fun with your kids, it's time to take a quick getaway to refresh and recharge. While September in Belize is full of parties and celebrations, St. George's is tucked away from the main events and is a serene private island paradise where you can kick back and relax.

You can take the "you time" that you have hoped for all summer. Just you and paradise. Let us do the rest!

Your "Un-Belizeable" Summer Vacation - 5 Summer Perks to Come Away to the Island + Summer Specials

Sunset Overwater Cabana Dock See yourself in Belize this summer!

Many people enjoy escaping to Belize during the winter months to enjoy the warm sunshine and ocean breezes. It really is no secret that Belize is a fantastic travel destination and more tourists are flocking to this hidden gem every year. But, did you know that summer is also a wonderful time to visit? Temperatures in Belize are comparable or even more mild than many places in the U.S. during the summer months, and ocean breezes and the shade of coconut trees offer much more relief than you are likely to find in your hometown – plus you will have the luxury of no responsibilities while taking it all in. Read on for our top 5 perks to visiting Belize this summer!

  • It's Grand Slam Fishing Season! Fishing here is excellent year-round, but the best times to catch the "Big Three" of tarpon, bonefish, and permit is in June, July, and August. When you catch all three of these fish, it's known as the "Grand Slam", which is how the fishing season got its name!We are fortunate to be located adjacent to the flats, close to the reef, and a short ride from the Belize River, so guests can enjoy a variety of fishing on their Caribbean vacation.
  • While there isn't a specific time of year that is best for scuba diving, many divers prefer the calmer waters of the Belizean summer. The water is pleasantly warm during the summer at 85°F, and the sea breeze tempers the heat a bit during this time.
  • Temperatures in Belize are comparable to many places in the U.S. during the summer months, and ocean breezes and the shade of coconut trees offer relief.
  • While summer does mark the beginning of "rainy season", don't be alarmed! This season applies mostly to the mainland (the rain forest needs its rain to thrive after all!). Rain showers are typically brief and intermittent at the island, allowing you plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine!

During the summer months, Belize has less visitors which allows you the opportunity to have more privacy with fewer people while you explore mainland excursions and attractions such as the Maya Ruins.  And you'll find that going through customs & immigration is much faster – very second gained in paradise is a win!

June marks the start of Belize's lobster season. During this time, you'll find a variety of lobster dishes being served during our farm-to-table, banquet style dining at the resort.

In addition, Belizeans celebrate in four different parts of the country with Lobsterfest. San Pedro's Lobsterfest is one of the biggest celebrations offering free live music and discounted prices on drinks and lobster. The San Pedro Slam Excursion is a fun way to experience Belizean culture then return for a peaceful rest of your day! Cheers to the best summer yet!

Tell your true, "My fish was this big!" story from Belize!
Sink into the best of both worlds and experience jungle and sea in one trip!

Find yourself... In the middle of nowhere...

Find yourself... in the middle of nowhere... Find yourself... in the middle of nowhere...

Our need to slow down and become more present in our day-to-day lives is more necessary than ever. This is why wellness travel is one of the fastest growing areas in the tourism industry.

Getting away can be essential to recharge and re-establish balance. While a simple vacation is a great way to relax, a study published in a 2016 article for Transitional Psychiatry found that people who participated in a six-day meditation retreat had fewer bouts of depression and stress-related symptoms. More specifically, yoga retreats are known to improve sleep, quality of life, cardiovascular fitness, anxiety, chronic pain relief, and strengthen the nervous system

Read on to learn about the benefits of wellness travel.

Nature allows you to unwind. Imagine basking in the warm sun, breathing in the clean air, and listening to the quiet breezes. You instantly enrich and reset the senses. Taking the time to be present in nature has shown to reduce the production of cortisol, which is our primary stress hormone.

Disconnect from technology: Unplugging may improve quality of sleep as well as your mood! putting down devices and outside distractors allows you to be fully present. Not many people know this (except our previous guests of course) so it is worth mentioning that one of the unique things about St. George's is that you can truly unplug during your stay. Wi-fi is available in the lounge area so you can check in with loved ones, but the rest of the resort is completely unplugged from the internet and TV. Guests love this quality!

Decompress and release stress: Taking a break from the daily hustle and bustle of life is essential for your mind to recharge. A 2013 study noted that more than 80% of Americans who were surveyed noticed significant drops in stress just after a day or two of traveling.

Spending time with like-minded people: Being surrounded by like-minded people who have similar goals and interests can provide you with encouragement and motivation.

Taking time for yourself: Wellness travel takes you out of your usual routine and mindset and really lets you focus on YOU. Give yourself the freedom to relax, unwind, and recharge. It may inspire you to take time out for yourself far more often than you already do!

Sounds good to us! Even on island time, we all individually take time to pause and take in this pristine land and seascape around us. We hope you join us to do the same!

Thirsty Thursday - Island Style

Relax with a tropical drink at St. George's Caye Resort Relax with a tropical drink at St. George's Caye Resort

Happy Thirsty Thursday from the island! It's a beautiful day to spend an afternoon taking in the Caribbean views and ocean breezes while lying in one of our hammocks with a cocktail or ice cold, freshly squeezed juice in hand. No matter your beverage of choice, we have a little something for everyone!

At St. Georges, supporting the local economy is important to us. Fresh fish, fruits, vegetables, and juices are sourced locally and are served with pride at every meal! Our servers will even climb a tree to make your tropical island cocktail - it doesn't get fresher than that!

We serve the local beer of choice, Belikin, which is brewed "by Belizeans, for Belizeans." Varieties range from their flagship continental lager, Belikin, which is a special blend of Canadian pilsner malt and German hops, to their unique Caribbean brew, the Belikin Stout. The stout has a subtle blend of coffee, caramel, and chocolate flavors- it's a must-try in our book!

Looking for something a little more fruity? We've got you covered! Our world-class servers will treat you to a variety of fruity umbrella drinks such as the Coco Loco, Belize Rum Freeze, or the Dirty Banana (and many more!).

Want to make your own "Dirty Banana" at home? Try this recipe to bring you back to the island any time you please!

Be Good to Yourself 2019

Take the time this year to get away and balance Take the time this year to get away and balance

Most people know that the top New Year's resolutions made are for better health and balance of responsibilities with time to enjoy the important things.

When thinking of health, many will run out and join the gym or pick up the latest Pilates video series with hopes of refining their body. What are other things that effect this overall goal? For many, living a fast paced life means there is little time to pause and enjoy the world around them. This is shown to drastically effect health adversely.

At St. George's Caye Resort and surrounding destinations we see travelers for many reasons. Guests may be celebrating the beginning or rekindling of romance, bucket-list diving, seeking adventure, or just to escape from it all.

Most importantly we see people begin their trip still wanting and needing to feel connected with their phones. Slowly but surely that "connection" become less and less important as they reconnect with life, environment and relationships. NBC News featured an article on 5 Scientifically Proven Health Benefits to Travel

With all of these compelling reason to travel and admittedly, a pretty sizable planet, how do you narrow where you are going this year?

If you thrive in an urban environment, you may want to travel to New York City or London. If you are meant to brave the wilderness, working to survive the elements, possibly Tanzania or Nepal suit your travel fancy. Conversely, if you wish to relax and be pampered while completely unplugging and enjoying adventures of a lifetime, Belize may be just the ticket.

Cheers and see you in the sun in 2019!

Belize Unites to Celebrate Independence

Belize Unites to Celebrate Independence

On September 21, 2018 Belize will celebrate their 37th anniversary of independence. This day commemorates when the nation was granted independent status by Great Britain in 1981. Celebrations run from 'St Georges Caye Day' on September 10th right up until Independence Day, on September 21st. During this time, Belizeans and tourists alike partake in prideful flag waving, display of colorful patriotic decorations, numerous vibrant parades, lively singing and dancing, carnivals, and indulgence in tasty feasts of local Belizean cuisine. There are also official flag raising ceremonies and more solemn observances, along with educational events on Belize's history and culture. The celebrating continues for much of the month and is known collectively as "The September Celebrations."

Stay and Play This Independence Day

September is a great time to venture to Belize. Tourism is still in the lower season so great group rate discounts and other specials are plentiful. Diving is desirable year round and at this time of the year can be coupled with other cultural excursions or just a little R&R

 A Brief History of Belize

European colonists first arrived in the area in the 1500s and clashed with the surviving remnants of the ancient Maya Empire. Early attempts by Spain to formally annex Belize were hampered by strong resistance from the Maya. English buccaneers later gained a foothold on the coast region, using the area to launch attacks on treasure-laden Spanish ships from Panama and Venezuela. By the early 1700s, English settlers known as "Baymen" established a presence in Belize, logging the valuable hardwood for export back to Europe. Today, the Belize flag features a stylized English "Bayman" logger in recognition of this part of the country's history. Although the Spanish initially tolerated the presence of English settlers in the area, things came to a head in 1786 when the British government appointed an administrator to oversee the region. After several years of clashes, the British gained full dominance over the region following a decisive naval battle off the coast of St. George's Caye on September 10, 1798, a date now celebrated as a national holiday in Belize. In 1862, Britain formally annexed the area, naming it British Honduras (after the Bay of Honduras, not the modern-day country of Honduras). In 1954, constitutional reforms were enacted and a constitution was written. In 1964, Britain awarded the colony self-rule and George Price became the colony's first premier. In 1973, the colony was renamed Belize and the country was granted full independence in 1981.

Favorite Underwater Sights Diving Near St. George's Caye

BlueHoleArea-39 The beautiful coral near the Blue Hole & Lighthouse Reef
We regularly get questions from scuba divers as they prepare for their trip to Belize.

What is it like diving the reef in Belize? Which fish and animals am I most likely to see?

Snapper:  So here is a list of our favorite underwater sights on the reef near St. George's Caye.  From our island, it's only a 5-15 minute boat ride to a variety of pristine dive sites.  We are the only dive resort in the area, so there are no other boats or divers - it's like having the reef all to yourself!  Many of the fish and creatures that divers encounter can also be seen on our private guided snorkel trips over the coral reef.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE DIVING IN BELIZE

Snapper:  many varieties, including:  Gray, Dog, Mahogany, and Yellowtail

Parrotfish:  Stoplight (pictured below), Rainbow and Queen

Grouper:  Nassau and Black

Angel fish:  Gray, French and Queen

Needlefish

Puffer fishe

Green moray eel and Spotted moray eel

Nurse sharks

On the Belize reef you will also see Barracuda, Snook, Squirrelfish, Wrasse, Horse-eye jacks, Belize permit, Tarpon, Bonefish, Fairy Basslet, Spotted eagle ray, and Stingrays.  (We also have a beautiful, but invasive species named the Lion fish.  We removed over 1,000 from the reef in October 2016 during our Lion Fish Dive Tournament).

Pictured above: Resort Manager Barry spears a lionfish on a dive near St. George's Caye

Our warm Caribbean waters also have Squid, Conch, Octopus (more often seen on Night Dives!), Dolphins, and the ever-popular Green sea turtles and Hawksbill turtles (so cute!!).

Pictured above: Snorkel guide and sea turtle near Hol Chan Marine Reserve

In the waters of Belize, you can also see a variety of Jellyfish, Blue Tang, Lobster (if you enjoy eating lobster, the season is mid-June to mid-February), and a variety of coral:  Stag Horn coral, Brain coral, Elk Horn coral, plus many more.

Want to know more?  Here's a fantastic website with "dive reports" on the fish species seen while diving in Belize.

Belize Listed Top Underrated Tourist Destination by the Daily Telegraph

Aerial View Our beautiful remote island getaway

Have you seen the news? In an article published in the Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper, Belize was ranked among 15 of the most underrated travel destinations in the world! What wonderful news for our beautiful country. We hope this encourages more people to visit our little slice of paradise in the Caribbean with beautiful beaches, an abundance of history and culture, and amazing dive spots like the Great Blue Hole and Belize Reef.

The author of the article writes, "One joy of traveling here is how empty Belize seems. While neighboring Mexico and Guatemala are famously populous and exuberant, here the roads are quiet, the beaches are relaxed and the archeological sites are often blissfully free of crowds."

Can you imagine a vacation with little to no people? That's exactly what you'll experience here at St. George's in Belize!

Best Things To Do in Belize

Based on years of introducing guests to this amazing travel destination, the team at St. George's has a list of our favorite activities, besides the awesome diving and snorkeling on the nearby reef. We can introduce you to these spots with our in-house tour guide on small, private tours. See everything you want, ask all the questions, take all the pictures!

  • Cave tubing and jungle zip-lining
  • Lamanai Maya ruins

What is a Resort Dive?

StGeorgesCayeUW-207 Learn to Dive on the Belize Reef

Learning to scuba dive is an amazing experience, but not everyone is ready to jump in for the full open-water scuba certification course. That's where the resort dive comes in!

A resort dive is a safe and excellent introduction to scuba diving that requires no previous diving experience. The half-day course is very popular because it lets you experience the underwater world without having to invest a lot of time.  The open-water certifications require classroom time, an exam and take 4-5 days to complete.

The experience and cost for a resort dive can be credited towards further training if you later decide to get SCUBA certified (usually for a period of six months).

What's Included in a Resort Dive?

Resort courses are a half-day and may include your dive equipment such as BCD (buoyancy control device), regulator, gauges, tanks, and weights. During the course you receive basic training from a Certified Dive Instructor (CDI) on safety and equipment, followed by a dive in open-water to a maximum depth of 30 feet. After completing the course, you are free to dive as many times as you like as long as it is with a CDI and the depth is no deeper than 30 feet. Most dive centers in tourist locations offer this introductory half-day course. SSI calls the course "Try Scuba" NAUI calls it "Try Scuba/Passport Diving" and PADI calls it "Discover Scuba."

Our resort has a SSI-Certified Dive Center and we offer "Try Scuba" to our guests.  In fact, you can complete the introductory session with our CDI for FREE in the pool!  Afterward, if you like it, we will take you out to the reef for your official resort dive.  The dive sites are only 5-10 minutes away by boat.

My tip - set a reminder to check multiple times every day and be ready to BUY when you see a good deal!"

Which Airlines Fly to Belize?

How warm is the water in Belize?

Diving the reef near St. George's Caye Belize

We get this question often as guests plan their trip to Belize: how warm is the water?

Water temperatures in the ocean off St. George's Caye range from 78-84 degrees, depending on the time of year. Ideal for swimming and snorkeling in the Caribbean right off our docks! (Snorkel gear is free of charge. So are kayaks and Hobie Cat sailboats!)

Belize Water Temps by Month

January, February, March, April -- water temp 78 to 79 degrees

May -- outside temps and water temps increasing

June, July, August, September, October -- water temp around 84 degrees

November -- water and outside temps begin to cool off

December -- water temp dips below 80 degrees

Will I need a wet suit to dive the Belize reef?

That depends on you and how deep you plan to go. Most divers get away with a 3ml "shorty" wet suit here, especially in the summer when the waters get above 80 degrees. The full service dive shop at St. George's has wet suits you can rent if you decide you need one.

When's the best time to visit the Belize cayes?

We think Belize is wonderful all year round -- out on the cayes (keys), we call it "endless summer" with palm trees and white sand beaches. The coolest time -- meaning temps in the upper 70s and low 80s -- is in winter, from December through March or April. New Fishing Packages for "Grand Slam" Season in Belize

School of fish in Belize

When's the best time to fish in Belize?

Fishing here is excellent year-round, but the best times to catch the "Big Three" of tarpon, bonefish, and permit is in June, July, and August. We call this Grand Slam Season. (This is also a time when you can find the lowest airfares to Belize!)

To help you plan the perfect trip, we're excited to announce four new Fishing Packages -- from a short weekend trip with one day of fishing, to a full-week fishing extravaganza complete with unlimited beer in our Sand Bar Lounge. And fishing off our docks is always complimentary.

Summer 2018 Special = $100 Credit Per Night!

This May through September, we're offering an extra incentive: get a $100 credit per night stayed when you book any fishing package for two people directly with the resort. How cool is that?

But isn't it hot in the summer?

Yes, it feels very tropical! :) In general we experience temperatures in the upper 80s and 90s (with a few days over 100 but not many), and on our island we have a nearly constant breeze. All room have a/c and fans, and there is plenty of shade and cold beverages. Be prepared for the occasional thunderstorm, usually passing over at night. Summer is considered "rainy season" in Belize, but that's more for the mainland than the cayes (pronounced "keys"). Learn more about our weather here.

"The Big Three": Tarpon, Permit, and Bonefish

Did you know the shallow waters of Belize contain the only classic tarpon flats outside of Florida? Our flats offer the opportunity to site cast to tarpon 12 months of the year. Tarpon numbers begin to increase in April and May and drop off in September or October, with the peak months being June, July, and August.

Permit are found on what is called “the bonefish flats” and on many of the tarpon flats as well. They are found in large schools and range from four to thirty pounds, with the majority in the range of eight to ten pounds. Jack crevalle, barracuda, cobia, and snook are also found on the flats and in the mangrove lagoons.

The bonefish in the waters of Belize run from two to five pounds and are plentiful year-round. Most fly fishing for bonefish is done from the bow of the boat, but there are flats that may be waded as well.

What are you waiting for?  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Visit this summer for the special introductory offer of $100 credit per night stayed!
